I didn’t bet the bears so I don’t have so much to complain about. This being said, I think it is my duty, as a sports blogger, to point out certain things that occur to me. As I watched MNF this week I noticed something very interesting...
Nick Foles is not very good.
This opinion (my opinion is considered fact in a court-of-law) may not be popular in many circles, but this blog isn’t just a straight out diss to Nicky Foles; it’s a piece of advice for Matt Nagy – bench Nick Foles! Now, don’t get it twisted, I’m not saying that Nick Foles can’t be a winning quarterback. I’m really not saying that. What I’m trying to say is that, Nick Foles needs to come off the bench.
Foles does better coming off the bench. He’s like James VanDerBeek in Varsity Blues; Foles can’t perform when there’s expectations. He can perform when there’s pressure—I mean, he won the damn Super Bowl against Belichick—but when he’s playing QB, at the starting position, Foles is just booty cheeks. And not in a good way.
Tonight he threw pick after pick, he missed open men downfield, he was hesitant to even throw it downfield until the game was practically over. Honestly, it’s tough to watch Mitch on the sidelines—they wouldn’t even put him in!? After the shit Foles was doing on the turf? That’s unacceptable. Give your young quarterback a chance, especially when the veteran you brought in is playing like a dog shit sandwich.
Rams looked alright. Nothing crazy. Sean McVay is still a smoke show.
